In February 2012 Barn was a judge on the panel to judge the winner for the interactive BAFTA in London.  This is the second time that Barn has fulfilled this role - doing it for the first time back in 2000.

BAFTA - Barn

Ivor Novello Judges

In May 2011 both Bob and Barn were judges on the panel for the interactive Ivor Novello in London.  The Ivors are run by BASCA (British Academy of Songwriters Composers and Authors) of which Bob is an active member.  It was a pleasure to be involved and to meet the other judges and the icing on the cake was to go to the event itself in May.  Here's a gratuitous montage of us tripping the light fantastic!

Interactive BAFTA Nominees

Our most presitigous nomination to date was for a BAFTA in 2003.  Sadly we didn't win but we did get the gratuitous opportunity to have our photo taken next to the iconic mask!  Roll VT......

Best Original Score at the Zaragoza Film Festival

zaragoza-awardIn 2003 we won the Best Original Score award at the Zaragoza Film Festival for our score to Palos. Palos is a short film in Spanish about domestic violence as told from the perspective of a young boy.  This was a beautifully shot movie by the Director Jorge Alonso and a fabulous opportunity to write a richly emotional score.

Initially the idea was to have percussion only cues but I felt that would be too restrictive with such an emotional subject matter such as domestic violence.  He allowed me to explore other avenues and that's when I came up with the theme for Palos.
