Bob
and Barn Ltd
Paul ‘Bob’ Arnold - Creative Director
50% of
the creative team behind Bob & Barn, Paul met Andrew at Millennium
Interactive, a Cambridge based game development studio and it was
hate at first sight – and you’ve got to see his point.
Armed with an MSc in music Technology, a BA (hons) in music &
Computer Science, a rock guitar and a trumpet, Paul can apply himself
to any musical genre known to man – provided that genre involves
those instruments just listed. More recently he won silver in the
field of Olympic Chive Farming in Bratislava and, since he polishes
his trophy so frequently, he is probably one of Britain’s
biggest users of Brasso.

Andrew ‘Barn’ Barnabas - Creative Director
| The other 50%, and generally regarded
as the bad cop of the 2! Andrew’s first published work was the
seminal game SWIV on the Amiga in 1990, although he really doesn’t
like the word ‘seminal’. Follow that by a stint at university
earning him a BA (hons) in music whilst running game music ‘label’
DENS Design with fellow European composers. He joined Millennium Interactive
in 1995 with a degree (he still wears his cap and gown in the studio)
and some dubious jazz piano skills. Being the loud sort (and drunk)
he stumbled into the public speaking and BAFTA judging world in 2000,
a match made in heaven. Other than this sideline as a raconteur Andrew
enjoys racing Robin Reliant’s in an abandoned quarry just south
of Grimsby. |

Nic Raine - orchestrator & conductor
 |
 |
Nic is our dad, not our biological
one but our professional one (that would be just plain weird). Yes,
he's had 20 odd years orchestrating and conducting literally 100s
of film scores, 17 of those with John Barry and a fair few with Rosza,
Bernstein, Kamen, Yared etc. and he's currently working with Vangelis
on Alexander but none of them can call him dad. This makes his relationship
with us that much more important. When he's not preoccupied with
film music he lectures worldwide on Victorian Tap designs and demonstrates
an intimate yet affectionate use of the word 'quite'. |
James Fitzpatrick - film agent & orchestral contractor
 |
 |
James
doesn't like to be called Jim. He likes it even less when we say
'he's dead Jim'. Imbetween bouts of Star Trek ridiculing he's amassed
producing and orchestral contracting credits on over 300 orchestral
scores, expertly flitting between classical and film score without
anyone suspecting a thing.
He's been instrumental (pun intended) in bringing European orchestra's,
particularly those in Prague, to the attention of the film world
over the past 15 years and as such, has got very bored of the food
you get on flights to Prague. To ease his boredom he started a film
music agency in 2002. He's sad to report that the food still isn't
any better. |
Neil Jones - legal
 |
 |
Neil
is the twin brother of Ian Hislop of 'Have I Got News for You' fame.
Unlike his brother, Neil works in law (not outside of it) as an
associate at fbc Solicitors in Wolverhampton and represents Bob and
Barns interests in all things legal. Of course, the truth of the
matter is that Neil and Ian are not brothers. In fact, they've never
met. That said, they do look quite similar and Neil has a couple
of copies of 'Private Eye' lying around if that counts? |
Philip Morley - marketing
 |
 |
Philip is a copywriter
and branding expert of some note. Probably a Post-it Note. He runs
Think Industries, a consultancy firm for brand aware, technically
savvy companies such as B&B.When he’s not brand building,
Philip is a freelance turkey sexer and prominent restorer of 1930s
industrial flangepieces.
