| Side and Bob & Barn get it together !!! |

After a lengthy bout of silence in the ’updating website news’ front, I can finally tell you what we’ve been up to..
We’ve been working in the background for the past year towards a fairly significant change to the way our business works. As of November 2006 we
have officially joined London based Side for all of our game audio work. Our offices become known as Side Cambridge. This is an upward leap for us and a
bigger benefit to our clients since it allows us to offer a far more comprehensive service. All of the game audio links on this site will now be
redirected to Side’s new website. Bob and Barn Ltd. is now a separate entity providing music for the film and tv world.
Right, we’re off to pop the champagne, I’ll leave you with the official press release...
Building on a long and successful relationship with leading audio production company Side, award-winning composers and sound designers Andrew Barnabas
and Paul Arnold of Bob and Barn have officially joined the company as in-house music and sound design supervisors.
The dynamic duo’s association with Side (themselves winners of the Develop Industry Excellence Award for best outsourcing company in 2006) has
already resulted in a string of critically acclaimed titles, including MediEvil Resurrection and Primal. The latter’s epic orchestral score earned
Bob and Barn a BAFTA nomination and became the first ever original game soundtrack sanctioned for CD release by Sony.
Side MD Andy Emery says: ’We’re delighted that Bob and Barn are joining us as an official part of the team, not only because they are superb
composers but also in recognition of their enormous talents as sound designers. I simply can’t think of anyone better qualified to oversee
Side’s music and sound design.’
Having been actively involved in games music and sound design since 1990, Bob and Barn bring with them a hefty CV of professional experience, from
supervising specialist recordings to surround-sound mixing, audio implementation and foley work. Emery believes this move puts Side in their strongest
position yet. ’Games producers can come to us with any scale of project and be fully assured of getting every aspect of their game audio
co-ordinated under one roof by the best in the business.’
Andrew Barnabas comments: ’We’ve known and worked with Side for many years and this seemed a natural progression for us. The results already
speak for themselves, we look forward to some serious knocking off of socks. ’
