Armchair Detectives wins BAFTA

Armchair Detectives, the 20-part whodunnit which aired on BBC1 in 2017 has won the Best Entertainment BAFTA at the Scottish BAFTA awards. Hoorah! Picking up the award was (l-r) show creator and series producr Carly Brooks, presenter Susan Calman and senior producer Dan Twist.

A huge but satisfying challenge to score all 20 episodes in a very short time frame. The show was half drama, half quiz, as contestants in the studio would be shown bite sized drama segments of the crime (normally murder), discuss the clues and see if they can solve the crime (normally murder) in the fictitious town of Mortcliff. An interesting balance scoring a drama and quiz show in the same program, top and tailed with a tongue in cheek title theme. You can hear the extended version by clicking on here…
